The welder is only as good as what connects it to the work. We upgraded every consumable in the chain: the torch, the ground clamp, the electrode holder, and the cable running through all of it. Heavier copper. Tighter connections. The kind of build quality that holds up to a full shift.
24KD Euro MIG Torch
The 24KD is the industry-standard neck geometry for a reason: it puts the contact tip at the right angle without fighting the cable. Our version ships with a brass diffuser, a copper-core contact tip, and a gas nozzle sized for proper shielding coverage on both thin sheet and thicker structural work.
The 24KD torch is standard on both the MIG-140 and the MIG-200.
What sets it apart:
- Euro-standard 24KD connection, compatible with standard consumables across all major brands
- Brass diffuser body and copper contact tip for clean current transfer
- Curved neck geometry reduces cable fatigue in tight positions
- High-temp handle rated for continuous duty cycles
- Field-replaceable trigger and liner
400A Copper / Brass Ground Clamp
Resistive ground connections cause arc instability, spatter, and heat buildup at the wrong end of the circuit. The 400A clamp uses a full copper jaw with a brass pivot to keep contact resistance as low as possible across the full clamping range.
Why copper and brass matter: Steel-jaw clamps oxidize over time and increase ground resistance. Copper stays conductive even with scale buildup. The brass pivot holds spring tension without seizing, which matters on a clamp that opens and closes hundreds of times a shift.
Built for a low-resistance ground:
- Wide jaw opening fits flat bar, round stock, and structural angle
- Serrated copper contact surface improves bite on coated or galvanized material
- Brass pivot holds spring tension through high-cycle use
- Terminated with a compression lug — no solder, no cold joints
300A Electrode Holder
The 300A electrode holder is built around the same copper-cable principle as the ground clamp. A die-cast jaw holds the electrode square to the work, and the insulated grip stays cool at sustained output. It handles everything from 2.5mm rods at low amperage to 4.0mm at full draw.
Designed for sustained stick work:
- Multi-position jaw rotates to 45° for positional welding
- Thermoplastic grip rated for high-cycle duty
- Compression-crimped cable connection, no solder, no cold joints
TUV-Rated Copper Cable: 25mm² and 35mm²
Cable is where most budget accessories cut corners. Cheap cable uses aluminum conductors or under-spec copper with excessive insulation to fake a thick appearance. Both cables in the Thorworx accessory lineup are pure stranded copper, TUV-certified to the H01N2-D standard, which covers flexibility, conductor resistance, and outer-jacket toughness for welding applications.
25mm² cross-section: Suited for MIG setups and lighter stick runs up to 200A sustained. More flexible in cold conditions and easier to route in confined spaces.
35mm² cross-section: The heavy-duty option. Lower voltage drop over run length and better heat dissipation at full draw.
What H01N2-D means: This is the European standard for rubber-jacketed welding cable. It specifies minimum conductor cross-section, flexibility at temperature extremes, oil resistance, and outer-jacket abrasion resistance. TUV certification means a third party has verified the cable meets the spec — not just that the manufacturer printed it on the jacket.
Both cables share the same core build:
- Stranded copper conductor, 99.9% purity, fully annealed for flex life
- Rubber outer jacket withstands weld spatter, oils, and UV exposure
- Compression-terminated at both ends, no bare wire exposed
- Rated for continuous flexing without conductor fatigue cracking
Which Accessories Fit Your Machine
The accessory gauge is matched to the current path each machine is designed to run. The 25mm² clamp and holder pair with the ARC-200 and MIG-140; the heavier 35mm² set ships with the MIG-200. The 24KD torch fits both MIG machines.
| Accessory | Cable Gauge | Compatible Machines |
|---|---|---|
| 24KD Euro MIG Torch | — | MIG-140, MIG-200 |
| 300A Electrode Holder | 25mm² | ARC-200, MIG-140 |
| 400A Ground Clamp | 25mm² | ARC-200, MIG-140 |
| 300A Electrode Holder | 35mm² | MIG-200 |
| 400A Ground Clamp | 35mm² | MIG-200 |
The weld pool does not lie. Inconsistent current, voltage drop across a resistive ground, or heat building in an undersized cable all show up in the bead. These accessories are designed around the same principle as the welders themselves: build it to the spec that matters, not the price that sells.
Whether you are running the MIG-140 on light fab work, the MIG-200 on structural jobs, or the ARC-200 for stick work in the field, the upgraded accessory kit gives you the current path those machines were designed to run through.
